personally, i hate it. i haven't heard anything about agm internals, but a friend of mine has that exact gun. you see that large bolt going through the rails on the bottom? those triangle tab things aren't glued on to the rail system or anything, making it very possible to lose one. but instead of losing one of those, he stripped out the one with the threads. nobody has replacements either. instead, i had to replace it with a qd riser to keep his rails from sliding right off. www.tacticalairsoftsupply.com has the same kind of gun from somebody else with those triangle things welded on.
but as far as function goes, his agm 614 works just fine.

personaly I think you should get the top-tech HK416(if you want a good HK416.)
But it is alittle pricy.

The JG is a decent choice as well, the Top-Tech is G&G and I have had no end of issues with the two G&G's I have had, take that for what its worth

Not saying it hasn't taken its share of abuse, just mentioning personal experience wit G&G guns as well as the three others on our team that had serious issues with them. If they have improved their gear then good on them.

Within the last 15 months, so this isn't a commentary on their older product but their newer stuff, I have gone through 2 UMGs this latest version is the best of the bunch, but still has major hopup issues.
Its also possible that the M4's are a vast improvement over their earlier stuff, but until I see consistent reliability from these guys then I am going to stick to my opinion that they are a bit on the iffy side.
I am sorry, I really didn't mean to start a fight, I was just being honest about what I had seen from their stuff previously.

don't sweat it. i'm just tryin to figure out why people don't like g&g when mine and all g&g's in my team work great other than maybe badger's. i'm not sure which of his guns is busted. i guess maybe it's cuz all ours are m4's, and maybe it's design flaws in the other aeg's. before you, i only heard people hatin on g&g's on utahairsoft, but figured it was just antiajax biased opinions. so glad we don't have their crap here.

When I was researching my first gun a couple years ago the common thread on the reviews was that they had as many service issues as the (then current) JGs. Hopefully they have fixed them and you may be seeing the newer stuff flowing through the suppliers now. By the way, all the issues I read about were problems with the internals. No negatives I recall seeing on the rest of the gun.

Badgers m4 had a wire fall of the motor so it wasnt makin contact mine had the same problem but all you have to do is take the plate off the bottem of the grip and crimp the wires down a little harder. ive had mine for about 6 months now and absolutly love it

G&G's currently are reputed to have some of the best quality control on the market, and that may have happened close after you had all your issues Grifon lol.
To Yurek, i have to say: If in the two months since this has been posted and you haven't already made a choice, I haven't seen many reviews for it, but if your into the boxy m4 setup, consider JG's newer line. Their latest models haven't seen much bad besides the regular clone company junk lol :p

reliable in more ways than one. i like to know that the company that made my aeg will still be there tomorrow, rather than being shut down by the chinese police, or put on pause while they figure out who needs to be bribed and how much.

exactly, my prediction for china over the next 10 years is that their competitive edge will drop. their infrastructure hasn't been improved and their workforce is aging, with the one child laws their next generation is half the size of this one. they aren't going to have the man power to sustain the labor force demands of the world. Chinese prices will go up and companies will go out of business.
you're always better off to spend a little more now for a higher quality product that will last.

they could also move production to india, though i've never seen anything good other than shoes come from india. it'd be the same quality but without the commies looking over everyone's shoulder.

China has 260 million people 14 yrs and under right now-1 in 5 Chinese. Right now, 112 million Chinese work in manufacturing. With China holding about $790 billion of U.S. debt, it isn't hard to see what many of those future employees will be doing for work.
I see things going like this: Japanese manufacturing in the U.S. market has pretty much become what U.S. manufacturing used to be. I mean, look at the auto industry. Taiwan has become what Japan used to be. China is becoming what Taiwan used to be. It used to be that everything out of Taiwan was crap. China will be able to raise their quality as much as the market makes room for higher priced goods, which it will, because the Japanese and Taiwanese stuff keep getting more expensive. Who will be the next China? India and some of your other burgeoning Asian economies.
Where does Africa fit here? They don't. They'll just keep digging diamonds for Antwerp, and the world powers will sell their old weapons to them to support the illegal arms trading economy.

Actually you should pay more attention to politics. The US government pretty much owns the major US auto makers. Have you noticed how Toyota has been pounded by government inspections and recalls. No accident... You give China way too much credit. As long as they have a socialist government they will continue to be a 2nd rate country. They may have more power now than they ever have, but until they can embrace capitalism, they will never be the world economic power.

I don't remember saying they would ever 'be the world economic power'. I'm also sure I can hold my own on politics just fine. This is about capability. China could go on being a 2nd rate country forever, and make higher quality if that's what markets demand. If you think that Socialism stands in the way of China making a good product, you could only be right if China didn't trade in western Capitalist markets, where competitive trade exists. Your argument applies more to places like North Korea or the former Soviet Union, when their markets were restricted. Not so with China. Heck, you can go to McDonald's in China. Very capitalist flavor there. China will always manufacture their products to the standard that is required to move them in our market. When we stop buying, they improve them. They've shown that over and over with every market they've entered. As soon as some major quality issue pops up that threatens their exports, they fix it, whether it's lead in their toys or chemicals in their dog food.
If we had been smart, we would have restricted trade with them, with their low wages, environmentally unsound practices, and human rights violations, and held on to our own manufacturing capabilities. Now we can't make enough of our own goods to supply our own markets if we had to, at least not in any reasonable amount of time. And if we tried, they'd be so costly that inflation would skyrocket.
If anyone is letting Socialism hold them back, it's the U.S. Viz., government bailouts, redistribution of wealth, socialized health care, etc.
